For the boater who wants to dock closer to Mobjack Bay, the Severn River Marina, located on a a tributary of the Mobjack Bay, is a great alternative. For boats needing repair the marina has a 75 ton travel hoist, full service repairs and maintenance. Visit the ship's store, dock at one of the 52 wet slips which include pump outs and water and metered electricity, or use the dry storage. Rest room facilities have showers. Maloney founded the business, making eighteenth-century saltglaze reproductions to sell at low prices. As time passed, Maloney added china and glassware, discounting prices so that shoppers would return. Bargain hunters soon flocked to the place and an amazing expansion was underway.Now, the Pottery has mushroomed into 200 acres with 32 buildings an inventory of 70,000 items gathered from all over the world. When I was growing up everyone would go to "The Pottery" to do their shopping.
